HOW WE LEARN

DISCOVER INTERACTIVELY HOW KNOWLEDGE IS CREATED. TRY IT OUT. BE AMAZED. UNDERSTAND.

You learn throughout your entire life – consciously or incidentally, out of curiosity or because it is expected of you, through mistakes and through practice. But how does learning actually work? Which strategies help you move forward? And what happens in your brain in the process? This exhibition brings current findings from neurology, psychology and education to life – with human brain specimens, models, films, tests and games.

LEARNING AS THE KEY TO HEALTH AND QUALITY OF LIFE

The exhibition also explores the social and health-related importance of learning. Lifelong learning not only keeps the mind active, but can also reduce the risk of dementia and mental illness. At the same time, it enhances personal well-being, strengthens self-confidence and opens up new perspectives. You will discover that you know more than you think. And that your brain learns even when you do not intend it to.

Learning is like rowing against the current. As soon as you stop, you drift back.
